A rug will help with acoustics when in small group therapy and Evaluations. My classroom echos very badly, making it difficult to hear exactly what a student is saying. When there are several people talking in my room it is very difficult to hear. I usually have 5 students in therapy at a time. Evaluations for 3 year old children will have the child, a parent, a psychologist, an occupational therapist, a physical therapist, and me, the speech/language pathologist. It sounds like echos when we are doing these evaluations. A nice rug on the floor will help very much and make my room look better.
