Most students learn more effectively when they are intrigued by the material in front of them. The students will use this book, The Contender, as their fall reading assignment. As well as being able to use literature as a direct connection to real-world events. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement by giving them something they will enjoy reading. My students are warriors and enjoy reading about others who have conquered a diffcult time in their life. Along with just loving and learning about sports.
