An iPad will allow the teacher to utilize the apps downloaded on the desktop computer. It allows freedom of movement around the classroom. The iPad will allow the teacher to become untethered from the restraints imposed by the desktop computer and allow for improved interaction with the students. Utilizing the iPad allows the teacher to be able to connect to the classroom projector and display content from anywhere in the classroom. This can be a game changer as connections with students will be more easily created and maintained. Being able to step from behind the proverbial podium (the desktop computer), walk around the classroom and give individual students better attention and feedback will help these young scholars feel valued and important. This will allow the teacher to actively monitor students, mold instruction, check for understanding in the moment and assess what student have learned without waiting for a graded assignment.
