Research shows that when children have to stabilize their core, their brain is more awake and able to take in new knowledge. Students who are a little more hyperactive will be able to function well in my classroom because of the flexible seating. Therefore, wobble chairs would allow my students to increase their academic skills by safely meeting their need for movement! I will be using these chairs in my guided reading center of my classroom. A lot of my scholars come into first grade below their reading level. Therefore, these chairs will allow them to still see learning as fun but also help stimulate their brains.
