These materials will be used in small group centers during our electricity and magnetism units, as well as in extension activities for students who have finished their daily classwork. With five sets many more students will be able to physically manipulate the circuits' components and discover both what works and what doesn't. I currently have one Snaptricity set and it is by far the most sought after choice activity. The book of ideas that comes with the kits allow students to challenge themselves to create increasingly complex circuits without giving away the answers. This inquiry process develops students problem solving abilities and perseverance while also deepening their knowledge of how electricity and energy travels within this system.
