Technology Protect is an initiative to motivate students to conduct research using the scientific method, and to spark student interest in engineering and analytical problem solving. I am requesting funding to help students excel at my campus Science Fair, with STEM presentations, and with implementation of PBL's (Problem Based Learning) activities. Students will use the presentation boards, markers, and plant lights for investigations and demonstration of lab results. Scientific inquiry is a vital component/standard for 7th and 8th grade students. Our campus's Science Fair, STEM presentations, and PBL's help students to develop analytical science skills. Sparking Scientific Inquiry is an initiative to provide students with technology needed for research and data collection. And, provides students with materials to help them display conclusions and observations. I am requesting iPad mini cases to protect the current technology that my students use. The iPad cases would help students protect materials when conducting lab investigations and PBL's. The cart would be used to lock up technology so that resources will last for years to come.
