These materials will make a difference in my student's learning. Most of my students I go to them and work in small quiet spaces, or I go see them in their homes. I need things that I can take that make learning meaningful, yet fun! We are working on basic skills needed to build a solid foundation of learning. I will use these materials to make learning shapes, letters, colors, and other skills needed for a strong foundation of the rest of their educational career. I would use the Color Sorting Mat to match colors, identify colors, and count the objects. The Melissa and Doug Self Correcting Letter and Number puzzle will be used for letter recognition, letter matching, number identification, and counting. The Smart Snacks Alpha Pops will be used for upper and lower case letter identification. I would use the Melissa and Doug Chunky Puzzle and the Knob puzzle to work on fine motor skills for matching pieces as well as shape identification.
