In an effort to minimize the achievement gap of my students I have requested specially designed seats to help keep students engaged while learning. ADD and ADHD effects how long students can focus; the yoga ball seats and disks help with the extra wiggling and energy they may have. As a new teacher I have also requested alot of books and shelving to create an inviting classroom library. The library and seating will be used daily as a part of our literacy routine. Having a new collection of student and teacher approved books will be exciting as they bond and create new friendships over books.
