Within the math block each day, students engage in a word problem of the day. Students will use their math notebooks to be able to have a place to organize their thoughts as they work independently and with a partner to use strategies to solve their problems. During the mini lesson component of class, students will be able to take notes and work alongside the teacher as we practice new skills using guided practice and then independent work. Being able to keep all these ideas in an organized manner will help students be more successful with studying for future assessments.

About my class
