As a new teacher, I want my students to feel excited to learn about the world around them. One of the best ways to do that is by reading. I want to inspire them to read regularly by offering them exciting and thought provoking options that will make them want to continue to read throughout their lives. A great classroom library helps create that interest. I am hoping to help develop lifelong readers in my classroom. By providing different genres within our classroom library, I hope to spark the interests of all of my students, making them excited to pick up a book and read.
