My class is 6:1:1 class (6 students all are on the autistic spectrum. The class includes six students, 1 teacher and 1 teacher assistant).Their ages range from fourteen years to eighteen years. The students come from Far Rockaway, N.Y. which is considered a low-income community. They love learning, exploring, reading, puzzles, math, science, hands-on activities, travel practice and technology, each is very diverse in their academic and physical abilities. All of my students have special needs and are unique in their own way. What I would like to enhance the students learning experience is Fine motor/ tactile games and tasks to work on their fine motor skills and ability to problem solve. I would also like to enhance their travel practice and their technology experience.
