The new copies of Animal Farm will be used to replace ones that are completely falling apart. Hopefully having copies that don't need to be recycled will help the students engage with the content and experience a sense of ownership for the materials. That sense of ownership is something that is missing for this group of students. The books will be given to students to read without the fear that they'll fall apart at any given moment. Students will no longer need to consider not reading as a way of avoiding receiving a fine for a book falling apart during use.

About my class
