Have you ever walked into a coffee shop and noticed there are multiple seating options? Depending on what you're working on and who you're working with, you might decide to sit on a couch, stool, armchair, bench, or chair. I want to provide my future students with this same choice! Depending on the activity and student learning style, students will select an appropriate seating option. Because of your donation to this project, students will be given the option to wiggle on a wobble chair or hang out in a bean bag chair. The world is changing, so we will, too! Research shows that flexible seating improves student learning in a variety of ways. First, flexible seating gives students choice and control over their learning environment. This allows students to feel comfortable and empowers them to learn their best! Furthermore, flexible seating fosters a community of learners. Because students share different seating options and supplies, students learn to work collaboratively and solve problems. Finally, flexible seating increases focus and productivity by allowing students to appropriately move.
