My students will be able to use these books during independent reading time and to reference for self selected books during book studies. Students will feel more confident using the graphic novels for these times. They will also have more interest in the self selected books because they are an updated selection. Before, I had books that were out of date and the students did not show as much interest in reading them. I will now have a book selection that will interest my young readers. Updating my classroom library will drive their interest in reading as well.
