Interactive Math Notebooks are an awesome compilation of notes, examples, and resources for middle school students. They contain all of their notes and examples from class. Since they are created by the students, they have a personalized feel unlike that of a textbook, and they are able to keep their interactive notebooks as a math resource for future classes. Interactive Math Notebooks are a fun, hands-on approach to note-taking! In addition to the composition notebooks, I'm requesting brightly colored paper that students will use to drawing attention to important rules and examples. Also, I've found from years of interactive notebook use that tape is faster and less messy than glue sticks.
