In my classroom we have 10 wonderful students. They are joyful, loving and genuine. My students have a wide range of sensory needs. We currently use compass chairs on our classroom, but they can be very uncomfortable. We would love to have flexible seating for each one of my students. They are all very busy. Bean bags are a type of flexible seating that is comfortable and sensory friendly. For many of my students, learning cannot truly begin to happen until their sensory needs are met. Flexible seating allows movement and creates a learning environment that is comfortable and exciting. We strive everyday to make school a comfortable safe place for our students. If students are comfortable, it helps with disruptive behaviors, therefore causing them to be engaged with the lesson.
