Alternative seating allows students to take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them. Alternative seating can promote core strength, balance, coordination and posture. Students who have the opportunity to choose alternative seating will allow their bodies (and minds) to be awake and ready to learn! And the benefits don't end there! Allowing kids some control over where they sit turns them into problem solvers! Kids are not meant to sit still all day long! The students will have the chance to sit on these ottoman cubes during guided reading time but will also be able to choose to sit on one during other parts of the day!
