Many of the students in my class do not have a calculator that is necessary for the math we do in class. As a result, we spend class time searching for calculators and often wind up having to share calculators. This often means some students do not get hands-on experience using the calculator to solve problems. This makes keeping them engaged in their learning more challenging. I want all of my students to have access to technology that will help them complete their work. My students need to be able to practice the skills we are working on with the correct tools.
