Flexible seating will allow my students to take charge of their learning and help them to become motivated and excited to see where their potential can take them! Our current classroom seating options are their desks or the floor. I try to accommodate the needs of all my students, but sometimes our limited choices are not enough. It is very hard for kids to sit in one place for long periods of time, especially at this age. I strongly believe that having a variety of seating options to suit different needs is essential to cognitive development and thinking. The products I have selected for our classroom will give my students the opportunity to choose more effective learning spots. I often have many kids that have a hard time sitting still during instruction time and if I am able to offer them alternative seating options, this could impact my instruction in such a positive way for not only that student but the whole class!
