As a second-grade teaching team, we are eager to provide and continually refine our active learning environment to maximize student engagement. Students feel empowered by having a voice in their environment. Flexible seating allows students to change their location and positions as needed. Our goal is to add a few stability balls and wobble cushions to best meet our students' diverse learning styles. According to Smith System blog, "Children need to move. Flexible seating allows them to wobble, rock, bounce, lean or stand, which increases oxygen flow to the brain, blood flow and core strength." Because students learn and explore best in different and unique settings, our desire is to continue to create and maintain a versatile and dynamic environment. Thank you for your financial support.
