These books will give all my students access to a variety of different perspectives in literature. My students read for independent reading daily. Some students bring books from home, but a majority rely on the school or my classroom to provide books. The books I chose are high interest and culturally responsive. These books will be offered for students to read and reflect on for daily reading. Students view the world through their exposure to media, including literature! By having a diverse classroom library, students will be able to experience different perspectives and cultures aside from their own.
