My kindergarten classroom is in a low income, high poverty district, with limited resources and technology. About 82% of our kids have free or reduced breakfast and lunch, and parental investment is very low. Having come from an advocacy driven community of school in NYC, I am determined to PROVE that no matter the zip code, my classroom of brilliant little minds can and will receive a fantastic education too! I want my kids to know they are safe, cared for, loved, and respected as a young little student becoming a life-long learner. I highly believe students thrive in an upbeat, routine-oriented, well-paced, and academically challenging classroom environment with well established systems. I'm on a mission to make my classroom what it needs to be for kids to succeed, fall in love with learning, and be immersed in a well designed environment from day one!
