My 5th grade students love to learn and are very curious. Reading Scholastic News would allow them an opportunity to broaden their horizons and learn more about the world. It would also benefit them when learning about non-fiction texts. We are located near downtown Indianapolis. My students, like so many children, come to school eager and ready to learn. Scholastic News articles would prompt meaningful discussions about current topics including science and social studies. I would like to provide as many enriching experiences as possible to pique their interests! Another advantage of Scholastic News is the interactive digital feature which gives the option for the news magazine to be viewed in Spanish---a true bonus for my ESL students.
