Early childhood is one of the most crucial times for cognitive, language, and social emotional development in a child’s life. Our students learn through play activities and opportunities to practice listening and speaking. Introducing an iPod into our classroom would provide for enriched opportunities in both our listening center and music and movement center. In the listening center, students will have more opportunities to listen to fluent and expressive readings of favorite stories which will enhance their interest in future literacy development and vocabulary. In the music center, students will also be able to utilize the iPod to personally choose music with which they enjoy singing and playing!
