Most people learn "hands-on." Having the needed equipment for each student to try activities out for themselves is crucial to skill development. Of course we learn team sports, teamwork is a huge part of student social development. I think we can all relate to getting a new red ball to play with ourselves vs. dealing with the classic "ball hog." Tossing, catching, dribbling, are fundamental skills used in sports such as four square, ball-wall, basketball, and the beloved kickball which are taught each year. We can incorporate these balls into team sport challenges as well as personal aerobic activities. Let's play ball!
