With the growing diversity in our students, First Lego League is an amazing opportunity to reach those hands on, technology driven scholars. They code, perform technical tasks and/or make sure the team stays on task. Through the process of putting the robot together and programming it to complete tasks, these students learn to communicate as a team and express their ideas to craft the best end result. I am asking for the EV3 Mindstorm kit to start my students on a journey into robotics. The ability to come together as different types of leaders, communicate with each other and utilize their personal strengths will be essential throughout these students’ lives, no matter if they become an artist, a business executive or an engineer.
