Our school consists of about 67% economical disadvantaged students and 77% of our students are "at risk" of failure. 5th grade is very difficult for our students since they must pass STAAR test in order to advance to the 6th grade. I try my hardest to find new and exciting projects to stimulate their minds. In order to put information into long term memory students must take ownership in their learning. I design lessons and activities that are hands-on and minds-on so that students enjoy coming to school and take ownership of their own learning.

About my class
