Our classroom community focuses on global education through local community building. Our low-income students work hard each day, but with a building built almost a hundred years ago and carpet approaching 50 years old we need a clean, bright carpet to sit on. We build our community each day through a morning meeting, read aloud and group work. We need a safe and comfortable place to meet and this carpet will create that space. The carpet will brighten the room, assist with quick and orderly transitions, and be a space used throughout the school day. We grow, learn and change throughout the year in the safe space of the classroom.

About my class
