I have older calculators that can frustrate students when random buttons don't work and they get incorrect answers. My wife hand made me a denim sleeve holder for my classroom calculators, but it is half empty from older ones that have broken, or by giving away a calculator to s student that couldn't afford one. I like for every student to have their own, along with having a classroom set. This way students don't have a problem doing their homework once they leave the classroom. I also like for students to use the same calculator in the classroom and at home so they are practicing on the same piece of equipment. We are also not allowed to use phone calculators. Getting a fresh set of calculators will be a huge addition to the classroom to give the students the experience that they expect when using calculators.
