Teaching dictionary skills can be tough. However, when it is taught, students should have access to the necessary tools in order to fully develop the skill. Dictionaries are a very important tool for anyone, especially students who may be learning/getting acclimated to a new language. The Word Notebooks allow the student to create their own personal dictionaries of hard-to-spell words that they’ll often refer to again and again. As students look for words and begin to define words, they will also discover new words in the process. Students are then able to add these words to there Word Notebooks. The Notebooks can also be used for spelling activities.
