In 3rd grade, it is an essential time for students to develop a love of reading. I would love the students in my classroom to have books that they are interested in, readily available to them, as many of them come from households that have little to no books at all. I hope my library can become a safe haven for my students, one that takes them on adventures. The books I have selected to join our class library, such as "Diary of a Wimpy Kid", "Amelia Bedelia", "How to Train Your Dragon" and "Ramona", as well as the "Who/What, was..." are all series that I hope will peak the interest of the students in my classroom. There are many complete sets of books on my list because it is my hope that if they fall in love with one book, they can continue reading something they enjoy.
