This year I am working with my school's Theatre teachers to help students have classroom sets of plays. Many of the plays we currently have on hand are only few in number, while class sizes are only increasing. Students love to read a play out loud in class, It can help them get into character, and it helps students pay more attention to what is happening. This year the theatre program is studying the plays of ancient Greece. Eurydice is a modern take on an old Greek myth that will have the students make connections from old to new. Backwards and Forwards is a guide on how to analyze any play, giving the students an even more in depth look into what goes into making and producing a play. With a classroom set of Eurydice and a half set of Backwards and Forwards, the kids will be sure to have a truly wonderful experience this year in class.
