In order to change the vicious cycle plaguing North Minneapolis, we need bright minds that are equipped to make discoveries and challenge the current view of the technological world. Tablets will transform the world of technology as we know it. The future is in the hands of some of the brightest African Americans. My students come to school everyday willing and ready to learn. They would extremely benefit from the technology in the classroom. Technology is already an important part of my students' world, so providing my students with techology and allowing them to use it in a safe environment will not only help them develop technology usage skills, but will also be an engaging way to learn reading and math. The internet is a valuable resourse for information, and putting tablets in the hands of my students will open doors for research and discovery.
