These sensory items will help my students that have been diagnosed with special needs or emotional disturbance by giving them something to help sooth their body or minds. Many of my Students struggle with high anxiety and get frustrated when they are given a task or assignment that they do not believe they can succeed in, which will turn into a meltdown. I teach my students strategies to help them self regulate those emotions along with coping strategies when they are presented with challenging tasks. Some of those strategies require sensory items that I have placed in my cart.
