The requested book, The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens, walks a teen through key leadership skills and themes. It specifically connects leadership to stress, optimism in all situations, handling relationships with adversity, and valuing yourself and others as major connections to being a good leader. This book will help guide the students through the leadership unit as they study specific ways they can improve their own skills and ways they can make a difference in the lives of people they come in contact with on a daily basis. Students need to be taught that leaders are everywhere, not just a CEO of a major company, but leaders show up on sports teams, in families, in volunteer opportunities, and in everyday friendships and relationships with people.
