When my 6th graders come to me in the Fall they come with a passion for reading, a desire to engage in hands-on activities, and a strong sense of community. They are bright, curious, and enthusiastic. Together we dive into novels, explore and expand our writing skills, and engage in a variety of educational activities to prepare for Junior High and beyond. My class of 30+ students is a diverse group with a wide range of learning styles, skill levels, and special needs. We work together to support one another and collaborate to make our portable a welcoming place to learn and grow. These students demonstrate flexibility on a daily basis in our small space. Their positive attitudes contribute to the positive learning environment that we have created.
