I like to introduce my students to different cultures, different perspectives, and different values. "I Am Malala" is a text that allows them to see how important education is viewed around the world, and how far one girl will go to become educated. I have taught this book for three years and my students love it. We look at the obstacles Malala faces, how she responds to them, and how she overcomes them. Unfortunately, the set of books I previously purchased (using personal funds) are on their last leg. I would like to continue using this book to expand and impact my students in their journey to understand others.
