My goal is to convert my classroom from bright primary colors to a calm relaxing color scheme. In a early education setting, adjusting the color of the classroom can help students by promoting creativity or promote a feeling a calm and a sense of security. Using natural wood tone furniture and calm colored rugs will improve the dynamic of my classroom. Step one of this project is to purchase a grey circle time rug for my students! I think this rug alone will make the classroom feel more calm and inviting. Students will feel less stimulated when walking through the door and the classroom will have a more home-like feel!
