My students need daily intervention on social and behavioral expectations. Social thinking curriculum and Julia Cook, are the curriculum and the author, that best fit my students. Timers and slime making items are for our sensory area, to help my students de-escalate in times of frustration. My students need consistent and frequent access to breaks, sensory tools, and direct instruction to expected social norms. Having these texts will help me have the tools to better teach the areas that my students struggle with. These texts are not available to me through the school. When I can focus on their areas of deficit, I will better help them, help themselves.
