Throughout this upcoming year, our class will embark on a literary adventure, one that allows students choice in their independent reading projects. Provided that the entire class will engage in this activity, it is necessary for students to readily access a variety of books. In this manner, students will be able to explore different novels, pick up a new book (once they've finished another), and share ideas with their classmates who've read similar titles. In a world teeming with options, this classroom library has been strategically selected in order to pique students' curiosity and expand their ability to imagine, to dream. By exposing students to relevant pieces of contemporary and classic literature, this project will foster a lifelong passion for reading that will persist well beyond their years in secondary education.
