To accurately express how much I love my students and teaching them in the allotted space here will be difficult but I will try. To begin, I am a Kindergarten teacher in an inner-city public school. Each year, my students come to me with varying backgrounds, cultures, as well as social, emotional, and academic needs. My students amaze me with the challenges they face every day, some just walking through the door each morning. My students give a whole new meaning to the term resilient! For many of my students, this is their first ever school experience and I have the privilege of setting the tone for their love of learning for the rest of their lives. I have to say one of my favorite things about my students is the level of diversity they bring to the classroom and my life. My students teach me more throughout the year than I could ever teach them.
