These materials will be utilized to create a Cool Down box for all 30 homeroom classrooms in the school. Each box will contain reminders and tips for the students to regulate their emotions. These reminders will be pre taught to each student so that they can effectively use the tools with minimal classroom disruption. There will be a timer included so the students can be good stewards of their time away from instruction. Additionally, the boxes will contain several fidget and sensory items that encourage mindfulness and self-regulation. Lastly, crayons and construction paper will be available as well to allow students to create their way from chaos to calm.
