A community of readers, writers and thinkers is who we are. "Little Free Library" is an organization that promotes literacy and language learning for people of all ages in the community. Little Free Library encourages children and their families to go for a walk to borrow a book or share a book with their neighbors. Whether it is a picture book or a cookbook for parents to share, the Little Free Library is a quick but very effective way to engage children everyday of the year in reading and developing their vocabulary and writing skills. Knowledge is Power! Our community would love to be a part of such a great movement because it will not only inspire readers young and old but will also make our community stronger and more united. The materials for this project will include a small wooden school house shaped box on top of a perch to store books and a small bench for leisure reading. The books will be supplied by the community as a part of our reduce, reuse, recycle school project.
