My students love to find a cozy nook in the classroom to work. When they are comfortable, they are less distracted, more content and more successful completing their work. Flexible seating will give them a chance to sit together and work collaboratively. The sofas and beanbag seats I selected will allow students to gather to discuss their reading in a comfortable, fun place. Flexible seating also empowers students by giving them a choice. It is also helpful to students with sensory issues. Flexible seating contributes to a calm, relaxed setting where students feel safe to collaborate and builds a sense of community.
