Having manipulatives like the number lines, pound dice, clear pocket sheets available to my students will allow them to learn better during our math workstations. My kiddos will get the differentiated instruction they need, at their level and multiple children will be able to use dice or dominos without running out of materials before finishing the task. First graders are highly motivated to perform when the lessons in the classroom involve hands-on activities. Children think they are playing a game when really they are learning. It's a win-win situation and when the kids are happy, the teacher is happy too!
