Flexible seating optimizes the learning environment. Students can become fatigued or restless sitting in the same stationary chair. They can also become undisciplined from lack of movement. It’s important for students to take charge of their learning and have a choice in which they are most comfortable. Students have a variety of learning styles and choosing their learning space is beneficial for engagement and working collaboratively with peers. Balance balls, wobble stools, and lap desks will allow students to stay focused and engaged during direct instruction, independent and/or group work. Thank you for supporting my students and helping them succeed!
