Students sit in collaborative groups within the classroom. This seating arrangement allows students to have rich peer discussion, work together to problem solve, and helps establish peer relationships. The down side of collaborative seating is it lacks a place for personal belongings. Seat sacks will allow each student a place on the back of their chair for their textbooks, folders, and pencils. Students will be responsible for their belongings and making sure they get put back where they belong. Seat sacks will give students the ability to have personal belongings and be held responsible for them. No more getting up to walk across the room for a book or a pencil!!!
