This year, I plan on incorporating technology into our math lessons and stations by giving students access to four tablets that have audio recording, video recording, and photo taking abilities. Students will be given the opportunity to hear and see their own mathematical thinking in order to narrow gaps of understanding. Applications like SeeSaw will allow for students to submit their own digital recordings and receive feedback from their peer community. The four tablets will allow my students to engage in a world of technology that will expand their mathematical minds. They will also be able to use the tablets for application for math fluency like Reflex, a program which helps students with their multiplication facts. My students are preparing for a future that we have yet to imagine but we can give them the tools that will prepare them to be their best selves.
