Many of my students are from low income families. Asking them to purchase materials would be a huge burden to the parents. I have taken it upon myself to buy materials in the past, but it is very costly. The model of the heart, human body and different rock types can most definitely help the students to understand the concepts better. My students learn best from hands-on and project based learning. These materials will make a huge difference in the lives of my students because they haven’t previously been able to enjoy science because of the lack of resources. I believe all of my students are mini scientists, and they can develop a love of science with the materials if we receive them.
