All students need to be exposed to reading material as much as possible, but most of my students are not. Either because of their lack of interest or books are not accessible at home. I would like to have these books to start a library in my math class. The books selected are colorful and inviting. They address problem solving skills and multiple topics that are introduced in class. The books will be used as lesson starters and for fast finishers. " The Fly on the Ceiling" and "Sir Cumference and the Viking Map" will be used for activities planned around the coordinate plane. "Secrets, Lies and Algebra" is a required reading book. "Math-terpieces" also for allows for cross-curricular integration.
